Art journal #11 Underwater

Today, I finished this layout which I started working on after all the inspiration from Simon says stamp’s Monday challenge blog. Used a lot of water colors and magazine cut outs on this page. This time, I remembered to click some pictures every time I took a break..felt that would be much more interesting than getting to see only the final pic.

I did not have any stamps that even remotely related to under water…so i ended up drawing and painting on regular white paper and cutting them out. Used some magazine cut out flowers and the grass image from one of the Lawn Fawn® stamp sets.

After sticking down all the images and a coat of Mod Podge®, did a lot of outlining and shading using black pens and felt pens. Also drew the school of fish and stamped the quote using Lawn Fawn’s “Claire’s ABCs” clear stamp set. Used white gelsticks from Faber Castell® for the sunlight effect.

After clicking the final look, the portion in the center looked empty and I ended up adding a few rocks and star fishes.

This layout goes into the Simon Says Monday Challenge – Go Fish. Check the link for more details and loads of inspiring work!

Happy Crafting!
