I’m back from a 4 day road trip. Had lots of fun and clicked a gazillion photographs..now in the process of sorting them out and sharing the good ones..mostly on Instagram.
I felt grateful for the magic that was camera…it helps us freeze time and keep it not just for us, but for generations to come. I decided to share this art journal layout which I created a few months ago when I was no where close to the idea of blogging.
I painted the background a bright yellow using water colors. Then used the ‘Mini Butterfly Collage’ stencil from The Crafters Workshop®, the blueprint stamp set from Tim Holtz® (for the cameras) and a stamp set from Amy Tangerine® . Used some caps lying around to make the green and red circles. The camera in the center is hand drawn. Used some modeling paste from Faber Castell®, turned it yellow using Faber Castell® Gel sticks and stenciled the ‘rays’ and ‘circle’ pattern with more stencils for the raised effect. I love doing this coz the texture makes the layout feel great when you move your hands across the page!
The alphabets were stamped using Tim Holtz® ‘Cling mounted rubber stamp set – Mini worn Text’ and regular alphabet rubber stamps that comes in a wooden box.
With a black Sharpie®, I drew a free hand border and gave it a white outline to frame the layout. Below is the final look.
Hope you liked the layout and got inspired to come up with something on your own. I would like to enter this page to the following challenges:
