Today’s post is a journal page I did way back in july when I had a lot of green leaves fall in the apartment’s parking lot. I love these wonderfully shaped leaves and wanted to preserve them in the form of a journal layout. Painted the page a light blue using acrylic colours. Did a lot of stenciling using the vineyard print from Crafters Workshop® and a bamboo stem stencil.
Stuck the leaves and gave a coat of Mod Podge® to protect them. Used the usual wooden alphabet stamp for the quote and spots of yellow using Tim Holtz® Distress ink.
To bring it all together, I used the ‘ornate flourish’ clear stamp from Inkadinkado® and drew over it using green felt pen and white gel ink pen.
I am in Nashville, Tennessee where summer is long gone..infact it has become a little chilly overnight. Hope all of you are enjoying the weather in your part of the world! Like the layout says, may you find beauty and inspiration in the everyday things surrounding you!
Happy crafting! 🙂
