First time card making!

Tried my hands at card making. Realized it is a lot difficult compared to creating  art journal layouts. Journaling allows you to be messy while a messy looking card is rarely welcome. I do not have a stamp collection as such..but this is what I came up with using my limited supplies. A ‘Seasons greeting’ stamp seemed apt for the background.

Used Tim Holtz distress ink “Salty Ocean” to give the sky blue color. Used my scissors to randomly cut the wave-like border. Also inked a paper pink using Tim Holts distress ink “Picked Raspberry” and punched the tiny flowers out. The punch tool is newly purchased and yeah, I went wild punching out those pretty looking flowers ;D .  One more look at the card..

Had lots of fun making this simple card. Like I said, I do not have a stamp set to actually experiment much in card making..this attempt is to win one by participating in the Wednesday Challenge by Simon Says Stamp. For more info, check out Simon Says Let’s Go Wild !

Bye 🙂

I think you did an awesome job for your first card (a lot better than my first attempts many moons ago!). Stick at it, you’ll be creating amazing designs in no time (and you can be messy all you like 😉
Thanks for playing along with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week.
